Can i use a regular lighter to melt the connectors?
A lighter would melt both the solder and heat shrink...however, we recommend our specially designed heat gun, as the lighter may overheat the heat shrink and pierce it

You should match the AWG size of your wire with the range we provide on our connectors. If you do not know, we recommend you purchase the Starter Kit. It comes with a variety pack of connectors and our signature heat gun
